Tuition

We are both SGAIC ( Scottish Game Angling Instructors Certificate ) qualified casting instructors for salmon and trout. Jean is the only female in Scotland, qualified for double handed rods, registered with the Game Angling Instructors Association. We are REFFIS registered instructors and guides. Fishers Cottage is a REFFIS School of Game Angling (one of only four in Scotland ) We are Hardy / Greys Angling Academy instructors and consultants for their game tackle division. We have our own casting pond with purpose built platform that we use when the river is busy. Tuition can be by the hour, half or full day.

We offer a full guiding service which includes, all aspects of safety, all casting tuition, line and fly selection, how to read a salmon pool etc

We teach all types of casts including, overhead, single and double spey, snake roll, circle C, snap T etc. with single and double handed rods.
